These celebrities recently released their own Ice Bucket challenge clips on instagram simply because, “they don’t want to be left out” after American stars including Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Tyga, JLo, Drake, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga and so on have joined the challenge.
The ALS also known as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease,” is a muscular degenerative disorder that affects the muscle neurons of the body. Eventually, it leads to paralysis, vital organ failure and, in some cases, death. To raise awareness about the disease, some celebrities’ world over organized a challenge known as “Ice bucket challenge”. This was also done to raise funds for people suffering from the disease. Ever since it started trending internationally, it was known that it would be just a matter of time before celebrities in Nigeria joined in on the fun and started challenging themselves with the Ice Bucket challenge to raise awareness for ALS a common ailment in the USA.  The participation of Nigerian celebs in this challenge has sparked a lot of tweets and in the social media:
Drugged love (@iam_theobat): Ice bucket challenge is not fun in Nigeria, some don’t even have light for their refrigerators, money to buy block or donate

Since the Ice Bucket Challenge went viral, the ALS Association has received over $14 million (N22.4 billion) in donations which is a huge boost from the $1.7 million (N272 million) in donations during the same time period last year. Genevieve Nnaji who joined Don Jazzy and Davido in the ALS Ice Bucket Water challenge got challenged by Emmanuel Adebayor. She has now challenged P Square, Jude.
