The maiden edition of the Nigerian construction awards have been launched in Lagos to honor companies and individuals for their accomplishments and stride in Nigeria construction industry.
According to the organizer, the awards which will comes up on November, 25, 2015 at the Eko hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, will help showcase how construction industry is pivotal to the economy of the nation.
Speaking at a press briefing to launched the awards, Mr. Akin Naphtal, the CEO of Instinct wave, publisher of Instinct Business magazine, the organizer of the award said the event is to recognize and reward company and individuals who are pushing new frontiers in the industry and have exceptional in the past.
“The construction sector plays an important role in economic growth. However, the construction sector has been overlooked in terms of rewarding innovation and creativity. Our goal is to celebrate the achievements of those construction companies and individuals who have made it their responsibility to transform the construction industry and advance the country’s infrastructural development,” the CEO said.
Mr. Naphtal also said that awards will also present opportunity for stakeholders to advocate for the industrialization of the country by way of investments in the area of civil engineering, building construction, and industrial construction and residential and beautification.
“Every ambition of the Nigerian government has such creating much needed housing, improving public services, developing its tourist sector, improving transport links, creating new jobs and eradicating poverty can be linked to the construction sector,” Mr. Naphtal said.
According to him, the awards ceremony will not just be another networking but will create the platform for companies and individuals to tell their success stories and accomplishments while creating inroads to generate synergies in the sector.
