Nigerian developes e-banking app

Beyond charting and catching up with activities on social media platforms, a Nigerian has developed the first global mobile application for banking and payment transactions on social media platforms.
As the banking solution mobile app, ChatPlay, debuted in Nigeria, it targets the over 100 billion global daily active users on Facebook, twitter, WeChat, Skype and Telegram, to meet artificial intelligence with banking.
Speaking at the launch of the e-banking app platform in Lagos at the weekend, the Chief Evangelist of ChatPay, Mr. Gbenga Adams described the app as fusion of advancement in robotics for personal experience in managing finances, adding that such innovation would better drive mobile banking adoption as a critical aspect of cashless policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Apart from such functions as funds transfer, airtime purchase, bill payment, among others, Gbenga added: “The application also helps users to find the closest ATM terminal should they need direction with voice navigation.
“The new banking channel also targets people, who would ordinarily transact in cash, to be ingrained in the formal financial system through transacting electronically,” Adam said.
