Nigerian embassy in Thailand hosts Teqball star Oyemade, salutes Act Sports academy

The Nigerian Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand, has honoured Act Sports Di Oyibo FC/Academy in recognition of its growing international impact and new signing, Victor Oyemade, Nigeria’s number one Teqball player.

Oyemade, Africa’s second-ranked Teqball star and MVP at the last World Championship in Vietnam, is set to represent Nigeria at this year’s World Championship in Thailand. His addition to the Academy, founded in Kwale, Delta State, is seen as a major boost to its expanding global profile.

Led by its management team, the Academy delegation received a warm reception from Chargé d’Affaires, Mr. Richard Aladetoyinbo, and senior Embassy officials. In a rare gesture that went beyond protocol, the Embassy presented branded gift bags with cultural items and tokens of goodwill to the players, coaches, and management.

Aladetoyinbo praised the Academy for nurturing Nigerian talents and urged the team, especially Oyemade, to remain focused and disciplined as they carry the nation’s flag on the international stage.

Reacting, the Academy’s founder, Pastor Samuel R. Oyibo, described the reception as unforgettable, noting that it reflected true Nigerian hospitality abroad. Co-founder Maria G. Di Blasi added that Oyemade’s signing marks another milestone in the Academy’s international journey, which has taken Nigerian athletes to Italy and now Thailand.

The Academy expressed gratitude to the Embassy, saying the encouragement will fuel its vision of expanding opportunities for young Nigerians in football and emerging sports like Teqball.
