Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA), Kano State chapter has elected new executives to lead its affairs for the next two years.
The election, which held at the institute’s secretariat in Kano on Sunday saw the emergence of Bashir Hassan Hanga as Chairman, Mustapha Mukhtar as Vice Chairman and Hamza Mahmoud as new Honorary Secretary General.

Other elected exco members are Muhammad Aliyu Danmaraya and Nasiru Musa as the Financial Secretary and Public Relations Officer (PRO).
Speaking after the election, Hanga expressed his appreciation of the institute for the confidence they reposed on him and his new cabinet and promised to consolidate the successes achieved thus far by his predecessors.a
Chronicle reports that the election, which held during its 2020 biennial general meeting was graced by prominent architects in the state including Arc. Ibrahim Haruna, Arc. Kabiru Ben Umar, Arc. Abubakar Audu Bako and Arc. Gobir among others.
