Intending Nigerian pilgrims have expressed readiness and renewed spiritual commitment ahead of the 2026 Hajj.

This follows a preparatory seminar organised by Hajj Mabrur Ventures.

The participants spoke at the company’s 25th Hajj seminar, describing the session as timely and impactful in preparing them mentally, spiritually, and logistically for the sacred journey to Saudi Arabia.

For many first-time pilgrims, the seminar provided critical insight into the rites and expectations of Hajj.

Mrs. Hasia Sule said the session gave her a “full circle understanding” of what lies ahead, expressing hope for a fulfilling spiritual experience.

Similarly, Kafayat Shitu described the seminar as “uplifting and inspiring,” noting that it significantly improved her level of preparedness, even as she admitted to some anxiety about the physical demands of the exercise, particularly the movement between Mina and Arafat.

Despite her concerns, she said she remained eager and prayerful for a successful pilgrimage.

Returning pilgrims also underscored the importance of continuous learning.

Amidu Kolapo, a male first timer, says it’s not a tourist journey but to be Spiritually uplifted and renewal and getting closer to Allah and come back better faith.
He emphasized the reason behind the journey was to fulfill the last pillar of Islam and enjoins capable Muslims faithful to consider going.

Hamza Adeza Sule, attending Hajj for the second time, said the seminar was enlightening and essential for improving adherence to the rites.

He noted that such engagements help deepen pilgrims’ understanding of expectations during the exercise and ensure they perform the rituals correctly.

Some participants also commended flexible payment arrangements introduced by the organisers, describing them as supportive and less financially burdensome.

Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of Hajj Mabrur Ventures, Abdulhameed Solate, stressed that the seminar was designed to interact with pilgrims ahead of departure, address concerns, and properly prepare them for the journey. He also prayed for peace in the Middle East, noting that stability in the region is crucial for a smooth Hajj operation.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, Ambassador Ismail Abba Yusuf, represented by the Head of Human Resources Alidu shutti, emphasised the importance of embracing digital tools such as the Nusuk card to improve coordination and safety during Hajj. He disclosed that about 50,000 Nigerian pilgrims are expected to participate this year and urged them to conduct themselves as worthy ambassadors of the country.
