The executive committee members inaugurated include Mrs. Laurentia L. Mallam as chairperson, Umar Farouq Sani as vice chairman, Habiba Umaru as treasurer, Dr. Dogo Paul Manya as disaster management adviser, Ibrahim Mohammed as finance and planning adviser and Ibrahim Abdulkareem Lazuru as fund raising adviser.
Others are Abdullahi Jibrin who is information adviser, Yusuf Nadabo Abdullahi who is divisional liaison adviser and Umar Mohammed Rabi’u as health adviser
Sunday Oibe is youth adviser, Martins Sidi as training adviser, Barrister Kayode Faturiyele is legal adviser and Shehu Umar Abdul is branch secretary.
In her inaugural speech, Mrs. Mallam thanked the volunteers for electing the new executive, promising never to disappoint them.
“You know it is a voluntary organisation, we have come to render free services to the poor and the needy. Sometimes, the rich can benefit from us but mostly, it is the poor in the society; so we will do our best to carry out our duties,”
According to her, three divisions of the society have been opened with assistance of subvention gotten from the state government, noting that two more divisions will soon be opened.
