Egondu C. Umeobi, an Environmental soil scientist and PhD student at The Ohio State University, has earned international recognition after being named a 2024 Bridge Scholar by the American Society of Agronomy (ASA), Crop Science Society of America (CSSA), and Soil Science Society of America (SSSA).

This award celebrates early-career scientists who demonstrate leadership, academic excellence, and a strong commitment to advancing environmental and agricultural sustainability through research and community impact.

For Egondu C. Umeobi, the recognition marks a significant milestone in a journey that began in Nigeria and now contributes to global discussions on soil health, contamination, and environmental restoration.

At the joint ASA, CSSA, and SSSA Annual Meeting,2024, one of the world’s largest gatherings of soil and environmental scientists, Egondu C.
