Workers in this country deserve to be paid a living wage, as what they are currently receiving cannot take them anywhere. I urge the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) to continue to put pressure on the government to increase salaries. They keep saying there is no money, but if we can sustain our lawmakers then we can definitely pay workers better wages. Workers should not have to go on strike or threaten strike to get paid higher wages. The cost of living is very high and it is important for government to take urgent action.
