The Nigerian Writers Awards 2016 is taking place today at Terra Kulture, Tiamiyu Savage, Victoria Island, Lagos, at 6 pm.
The award would reveal journalists who have excelled in different categories of writing which includes online, print media, arts and literature.
Categories to be awarded include business writer of the year, blog writer, political writer, entertainment writer, news writer, faith-based writer, health writer, young writer, and sports writer of the year.
Nominees were judged based on originality, consistency, influence, impart, and creativity.
