A squad of promising young footballers from ACT Sports Di Oyibo Football Academy has arrived in Milan, Italy, marking the start of their 2025 European development tour in partnership with top-tier Serie A club, Torino FC.

The tour began with an intensive training session led by ACT Sports President, Samuel R. Oyibo, and Nigerian coach Ebeagwu Gabriel Owen. Speaking at the kickoff, Oyibo emphasized the importance of international exposure for grassroots talent.

“The future of Nigerian football lies in our youth. This tour is a major step in connecting local talent with global opportunities,” he said.

The team was warmly welcomed by academy secretary and Italian translator, Maria G. Di Blasi, who is playing a key role in coordinating logistics and communication throughout the visit.

As part of a technical exchange agreement, the players will train under Torino FC’s certified coaches, including Davide, gaining firsthand experience with European football methodology. In addition, the team attended the high-profile Serie A clash between Torino FC and AS Roma to broaden their tactical understanding of elite football.

ACT Sports will play a series of friendly matches organized by Torino’s academy against Mocchetti (May 27), Novara (May 29), and Mangenta (May 31). These matches present valuable scouting opportunities for clubs, agents, and football directors to evaluate the Nigerian talents.
