The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has advocated mentoring and positive influence as a means of youth empowerment.

The NYCN made this known during awards to individuals identified as Nigerian Youth Talent Influencers in Abuja.

“We have those who have blazed the trail to come to where they are in the various industries- in the creative industry, media, creative industry, innovators, public speakers and all of that; they have had challenges, … and today, they are successes,” he said.

The awardees are: Mrs Tosin Dokpesi of AIT, Dr Amaechi Anakwue of Raypower FM’s ‘Political Platform’, Wale Animashaun of Max FM’s ‘Wetin Dey House’ and Blessing Okoro of CEO, among others.
