A member of the House of Representatives, Saidu Musa Abdul, has said there is need to educate Nigerians about the constitutional duties of a legislator at both federal and state levels.
Speaking on plans and programmes of the 9th House of Representatives, he said many Nigerians don’t have a clear knowledge of the duties of a legislator which is to make laws that will better their lives.
Abdul who is the member representing Bida/Gbako/Katcha federal constituency of Niger State said: “It is time we start raising awareness on some of the responsibilities that come with the offices. People can hardly draw a line between the role of an executive and what a legislator is expected to do,” he said.
