In a historic gathering held on December 14, 2023, in Washington, DC, the Nigerian Professionals Network (NPN) partnered with The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund Nigerian Community to host an event aimed at shaping Nigeria’s sustainable future.
Themed “Nurturing Nigeria’s Future: Integrating Health and Enterprise Development for Sustainable Growth,” the summit brought together Nigerian professionals from various sectors, urging the diaspora to play a pivotal role in steering the nation’s healthcare policies and small business development.
The summit emphasized leveraging the expertise and resources within the diaspora community to create actionable strategies for advancing healthcare and supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Nigeria.
The focus revolved around establishing robust healthcare systems and empowering MSMEs to thrive in international markets.
Speakers, including prominent figures such as Ms. Zainab Ahmed from The World Bank and Dr. Doris Anite, Nigeria’s Minister of Trade and Investment, shared insights and visionary ideas.
