She led the medical team at First Consultants Medical Centre in Lagos where the late Liberian American, Mr. Patrick Sawyer was brought for treatment. She was said to have fallen into a coma on Monday and despite the valiant battle by the medical team to save her, she could not survive the scourge of the disease.
Her death brings the total number of deaths from the Ebola virus to five in Nigeria. When the news of her death went out, Nigerians used the social media to express their concerns about it.
 On Facebook, Aisha Nana Muhammad Jibril posted: “FG must immortalise Dr #Adadevoh, indisputably she saved many #Nigerians from catastrophe” Twitville was not left out as netizens such as @acefotography tweeted: “#Adadevoh a true hero. She stood and paid the ultimate price for others to live. Nigeria will never forget you. R.I.P”.
Praise Jah on his facebook page had this to say “My heart goes out to the #Adadevoh family…may God comfort them with the resurrection hope, if He wills”.
Then Trumi @TrumiFleet tweeted, “Dr. #Stella Adadevoh gave up her life so that more than 170m Nigerians could live. What a #Woman. Do we really deserve it?
For Uche Benedict (@Benefoxs), he said:  Respect my heroine, Dr #Adadevoh and her team for preventing sawyer from spreading #Ebola to the nationwide, she deserved posthumous award.   
Kinzuah @Kinzuah   also tweeted “I was honoured to have known Dr #Adadevoh. A great woman. She was one of #Nigeria’s best in the management of #Diabetes.
What loss to us all Ayo Oyinloye @McHoney, please we should show we value our heroes, #Adadevoh should be given a post-humous national honour  #adadevohfornationalhonour
