“One problem with Nigerians is that we are looking at one man redeemer, Messiah complex,” he said.
Prof Utomi said Nigeria was near collapse, adding that Nigerians’ tolerance of certain issues had landed them in this current state.
He said, “Nigeria is in such a state, we are near collapse as a country. The fact that Nigerians are tolerating APC and PDP having a convention is a mark of extreme patience of the Nigerian people.”
Convener of the ‘Big tent’ added that the focus of the big tent is primarily based on power production for the people.
“Focus of this big tent is on power production and people.
“If you live in Nigeria, I suspect you know but the quality of life has been so miserable. I mean yesterday, my house in Ikoyi has power for close to three hours that’s probably the longest we’ve had power in a given day in months.
“Something as basic as electricity, look at how Vietnam fixed it after their terrible war. Just look at how people have dealt with power around the place, how UAE built its capacity not to talk of China’s.
“Power is not rocket science but that’s poor capacity of management and distance for the people. They can’t make simple decisions, we can fix it.”
