A Pro-GEJ group called ‘Goodluck Initiative For Transformation’ reportedly put it together, imitating the #BringBackOurGirls, a hashtag that was developed to create awareness for the Chibok girls.
The Presidency then gave a directive that the banners should be brought down immediately. These posters have however caused a stir in the social media as addicts have used to this medium to express their feelings. On Twitter, Mark Amaza who tweeted via his handle @amaza had this to say: “Those #BringBackGoodluck2015 have unwittingly resurrected global interest in the Chibok girls”.
Faye Peters @fayepeters had this to say: “Worst possible re-election campaign after failing to secure the release of the schoolgirls”.
In Lady Smith’s @Afrostylings’s opinion, #BringBackGoodluck2015 is a travesty. She added, “it is basically laughing in the face and pain of the families of those missing girls”.
Brain box @Nijamatta tweeted: “#BringBackGoodluck2015 has surfaced to push the #BringBackOurGirls into oblivion. Nigeria has become a country where anything goes.”
Some other Nigerians however supported this move saying that it is their fight to bring back Goodluck in 2015. One of them Onyekachi Divine CMR tweeted via @dboyixgood, “Someone is praying for the things you take for-granted. But it is our fight to #BringBackGoodluck2015”.
