The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Nasarawa State chapter has advised Nigerians to avoid self medication but seek for medical examination before taking drugs in the interest of their health and for the overall development of the country.
The state president of the association, Pharm. Agada Vincent Agada, who  made the call in Keffi in commemoration to mark the 2016 World Pharmacists Day tagged “Pharmacists care for you’, said that the call become imperative considering the negative effects of self medication on human health and to societal development.
He has also called on the State Government to consider the need of establishing the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the State owned University, keffi, as such would help bridge the gap in access good and quality healthcare services in the state.
