The Founder of the Love of Christ Generation Church, Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi, has said that the economic hardship facing Nigeria is part of a global crisis and not peculiar to the country.

Ajayi stated this while addressing journalists in Lagos for the 18th Anniversary celebration, which commenced last week.

“There is an economic crisis all over the world. Unfortunately, it hits harder here because Nigeria is a developing nation,” she said.

She explained that the challenge of poverty is not limited to Nigeria, noting that her ministry also feeds people living on the streets in the United Kingdom. “They’re always excited to see me because they know a free meal awaits them,” she added.

Ajayi urged Nigerians to remain prayerful and to ask God for divine wisdom for the nation’s leaders rather than depending solely on human solutions.

Speaking further, Rev. Mother Ajayi said the theme was inspired by the Holy Spirit to remind believers of God’s promise of abundance. “I want to assure you that the Almighty is a God of prosperity. We must continually remind Him of His promises to bless us,” she noted.
