Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, Director-General of the Presidential Economic Advisory Council & Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PEAC/PFIPC) is taking concrete steps to align government policy with Nigeria’s foreign investment goals.

During a visit to the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Benjamin Kalu, he emphasized the need for stronger collaboration between the executive and legislature to unlock new economic opportunities.

“We identified that the National Assembly is a strategic partner in achieving the agenda of Mr. President. That’s why we are here.

“As the Presidential Economic Advisory Council, we serve Mr. President with evidence-based research on economic policy and implementation. To achieve this, we need the collaboration of the National Assembly,” Adeyemi said.

The Deputy Speaker, himself a vocal advocate for legislative support in economic matters, welcomed the conversation. His office confirmed that discussions like these are crucial for shaping responsive policies that reflect real-world challenges and opportunities.

The meeting is part of an ongoing push to ensure that Nigeria’s investment promotion efforts are supported by the right legal and policy frameworks.

In just a few months since his appointment, Prince Adeyemi has been active in building the institutional relationships needed to boost investor confidence and send a clear message that Nigeria is serious about business.

Under his leadership, the council has been tasked with identifying global partnerships, coordinating investment-related interventions, and creating the kind of policy clarity that international investors look for.

The Council sees the National Assembly as a key partner in shaping laws that support this mission.

One of the major outcomes of the visit was the announcement of the upcoming World Investment Summit, which will take place in Nigeria from November 10 to 14, 2025.

The summit will bring together top investors, government officials, and global business leaders, positioning Nigeria as a credible and attractive investment destination.
