Speaking on Monday during the maiden edition of the National Mentoring Day celebration held at the Authority’s headquarters in Lagos, Dantsoho noted that while investment in infrastructure and technology is vital, it is the skills, expertise, and dedication of Nigeria’s maritime workforce that truly sets the nation apart.

“Our greatest asset lies not only in our infrastructure, technology, but in our people,” Dantsoho said. “It is their hard work, professionalism, and commitment to excellence that has enabled us to achieve our maritime goals and remain competitive in the global economy.”

The Nigerian maritime sector is a critical component of the nation’s economy, accounting for a significant percentage of GDP and providing employment opportunities for thousands of people.
