Nigeria’s Smart home market has been projected to reach over 284.6m US dollars, about N425 billion, on or before the end of 2025, according to Statista.
With this projection, an Information Technology and Human Resources expert says now is the perfect time to unlock new career opportunities.
The expert urged youths in Nigeria to tap into smart home automation training for a better and brighter future.
Engr. Seton Senu, the Chief Executive Officer, SO TechAfrica Ltd, gave the advice in an interview with newsmen in Lagos, saying that the future of homes is Smart.
Engr. Senu urged Nigerian youths to leverage on the opportunity created in the smart home to build a better future for themselves, particularly in an era where jobs are difficult to come by.
“With Nigeria’s smart home markets projected to reach over 284.6m US dollars, by 2025, according to Statista, now is the perfect time to unlock new career opportunities.
“This training programme incorporates digital tools to facilitate learning, schedules regular content updates to cover emerging smart home technologies, and employs analytics to monitor progress and tailor learning paths for improved outcomes.
“This helps one to gather insights from skill gap analysis and self-assessments.
“The training, particularly through an electronic learning guide with a blended solution that incorporates physical hands-on training to benefit both employees and employers in highly personal ways, saves time and reduces costs,” he said.
Meanwhile, SO TechAfrica Ltd. has also joined forces with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development and the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) to launch a four-day training programme focused on smart home automation for architects.
Engr. Seton Senu, Chief Executive Officer of SO TechAfrica Ltd. disclosed this in a press briefing in Lagos.
He said the initiative is designed to equip architects with the skills needed to design, implement and manage smart home systems, paving the way for the future of architectural design.
