The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Central Administration) of Nile University of Nigeria, Prof. Prema Kirubakaran, has been honoured with the Woman Achiever of the Year 2026 Award by the High Commission of India in Nigeria in partnership with the Indian Women Empowerment Association (IWEA), Abuja.
The prestigious recognition was presented by H.E Mr. Abhishek Singh, High Commissioner of India to Nigeria, during a colourful ceremony commemorating International Women’s Day 2026 at the Indian Embassy in Abuja.
Prof. Kirubakaran was recognised for her exceptional contributions to education and her selfless service to humanity, spanning both India and Nigeria. Over the years, she has distinguished herself as a passionate academic leader and administrator, playing a pivotal role in strengthening academic governance, institutional development, and student-centred initiatives within the university system.
