The Inspector General of Police Solomon Arase has ordered an aerial surveillance of the three senatorial districts in Enugu State beginning today from Ukpabi Nimbo and Nsukka zones.
The command, through the Airwing of the Nigeria Police Force, is expected to use the exercise to ‘fish out would-be mischief makers and have proper sight of every nook and cranny of the state for effective crime prevention and control,’ according to a statement issued by the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ebere Amaraizu.
Quoting the state Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Ojukwu, the PPRO said, “It is the gesture of the Inspector General of police and the Government to ensure that the entire area is made safe.”
