The Director General of the Nigeria Meteorological Agency (NiMet), Dr Anthony Anuforom, has been conferred with a Fellow of the Astronomical Society of Nigeria (ASN).
The conferment took place at the 6th National Conference and Award of Fellows by ASN held in Abuja.
The Fellowship award was in recognition of the NiMet DG’s success in steering the affairs at the premier weather agency.
Accepting the award, the NiMet boss expressed appreciation to the society for the recognition, saying he felt humbled and that it is a call to do more.
The President of ASN, Prof. Chidi Akujor, said that Dr. Anuforom has brought remarkable transformation in the activities of NiMet.
