The  NIMET daily weather forecast said there are prospects of localised rain showers over the coastal region in the afternoon.
According to the report, fog and misty conditions are expected in the inland areas in the morning hours and isolated rain showers over the south-west cities in the afternoon hours.
In the central states, the agency predicted partly cloudy and dust haze conditions with moderate visibility in the region.
The northern part of the country, it said, would experience sunny, dry and hazy conditions.
The reports also pegged the maximum temperature for the southern states at between 33 degrees and 35 degree celsius.
The maximum temperature for  the northern states would hover between 34 degrees to 37 degrees Celsius with Yola expected to have a temperature of 38 degrees celsius. (NAN)
 The agency also reports that Jos and the Mambilla Plateau are expected to have 30 degrees Celsius.
