A coalition of youths from Bauchi Central Senatorial Zone has issued a two-week ultimatum to the Senate, demanding the immediate reversal of Senator Abdul Ningi’s suspension or face legal action.
They criticized the Senate’s decision to suspend Ningi for raising concerns about irregularities in the 2024 budget, calling it unjust and a denial of their right to representation.
The coalition, led by Nazeef Abdullahi Rio, stated that as constituents of Ningi, they consider the suspension a form of injustice and urged the Senate to commend Ningi for his patriotic actions instead. They emphasized the need for a full investigation into the alleged irregularities in the budget.
