The Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB) has inducted its newly elected fellows and corporate members of the institute at a ceremony held in Abuja. The occasion also witnessed the investiture of the 19th president of the NIOB in person of Buldr. Shuaib Tijjani Birin-Kudu.
Speaking after his investiture as the 19th president of the NIOB Bldr. Shuaib Tijjani Birnin-Kudu charged all the newly inducted members and fellows to work assiduously towards making the institute a better one. Bldr. Shuaib Tijjani Birnin-Kudu was born in 1958 at Birnin Kudu town in Jigawa state.
After completing his primary education in 1972, he proceeded to Wudil Government Secondary School Technical School (GSTS) and completed his Secondary Education in 1977. On completion of his secondary education, Bldr. Shuaib was awarded a scholarship by the federal government in 1977 for further studies in France where he studied the French Language and Introduction to French Engineering Terminology for one year.
He later enrolled at the Bayero University Kano (BUK) between 1989-1992 where he obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) in 1993. He was elected a fellow member of NIOB in 2006. He has served the Institute for 20 years in many capacities both at state and national level.
A total of 56 newly invested corporate members and 13 fellows were sworn- in at the ceremony.
