Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State has advised students and athletes’ participating in the forthcoming Nigerian Polytechnic Games (NIPOGA) to desist from the use of drugs as it is abhorrent to the rules of the game.

He gave the advice in Lafia on Tuesday when he hosted management of Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa and A3 foundation, promotion partners of the games scheduled to kick off April 26.

Represented by his deputy, Silas Agara, Al-Makura promised that the state government would accord the games the needed financial and moral support, to ensure that it sees the light of the day.

The governor added that his government is committed to supporting such useful ventures in order to engage youth meaningfully for the overall good of the state and the country at large.
