NITDA’s board Chairman Dr. Tosin Ajayi, who disclosed this in Abuja, said IT remains a critical driver of the country’s transformation agenda and it must be properly rejigged if it must play the role.
Addressing the media, NITDA staff and board members in Abuja, Ajayi urged stakeholders of the IT industry to see the development the agency beyond petty, common jealousy and beyond politics, adding that the new blueprint soon to be unveiled will lead to the entrenchment and development of the National IT policy as a clearing house and regulatory body for all IT-related matters in the country.
“We are to reset NITDA for corporate performance of its functions, building necessary capacities in both human resources and materials. Training, retraining, re-orientation while engaging the private sector consultants”, he said.
He said all over the world the engine room that drives development and transformation must have the right intellectual composition and be able to see the future from the present, adding that there is need to rebuild NITDA to deliver on its mandate.
The Chairman also said that NITDA would rely on outsourcing module to achieve its objective, adding that the actualization of its programmes would be driven by outsourcing
