The training which started Monday would avail the participants the opportunity to acquire basic knowledge on Linux operating system.
 NITDA DG Mr. Peter Jack who paid a brief visit to the training venue urged the Corp members to work as team in solving any task given to them adding that IT knowledge and idea are better acquired through team work.
Meawhile, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), and  two indigenous companies-WaveTek and cinfores Nigeria Limited- have signed a the memorandum of understanding (MoU) on JAMB BRAINFRIEND software.
JAMB BRAINFRIEND seeks to improve the performance of students in the yearly Unified Tertiary Institutions Matriculation Examination (UTME).  
In his address before the MoU signing, the Director General of NITDA Mr. Peter Jack said the IT agency is committed to qualitative education hence the partnership with the companies.
He said NITDA had engaged Microsoft on IT development to promote academic proficiency.
In his remarks the Managing Director of waveTek Nigeria Limited Mr. Ken Spann said that waveTek as an IT firm is committed towards helping the students to pass their various educational examinations. He said they will make sure that the signing of the MoU is the beginning of success in education.
Mr. Asawo Ibifuro Managing Director Cinfores Nigeria Limited on his part said Cinfores as a Nigerian software development company realized the danger of mass failure of students in public exams and this is the reason behind the development of JAMB BRAINFRIEND software.
