The pledge was made on Thursday by the new Administrator of the NJI, Justice Rosaline Bozimo, during an interactive meeting with judicial correspondents in Abuja.
She said the institute is focused on its core mandate, which is to “design and deliver judicial education that offer dynamic and relevant programmes for judicial officers, and provide continuing education for all categories of judicial officers.”
While expressing readiness to partner with other organisations that provide education to the nation’s judiciary, she listed other areas of interest of the institute to include: conducting study courses, lectures, seminars, workshops, conferences and other programmes tailored for the judiciary.
 “The importance of the National Judicial Institute is captured by the fact that we are living in a world of constant change. For this reason the judiciary requires a steady commitment to lifelong learning,” she said.
Reacting, the leader of the correspondents, Mr Tobi Soniyi, praised the institute for the way it is being managed, saying that was the main reason its facilities were chosen to host the just concluded National Conference.
He reiterated calls for financial autonomy for the judiciary, adding that a viable judiciary is the bedrock of any stable society.
