Aremu spoke in Lagos at a ‘Stop Precarious Work’ campaign which was organised by the IndustriALL Global Union Federation’s affiliates in Nigeria, to celebrate the World Decent Work Day.
He said casualisation, which was traceable to the Lord Lugard’s colonial administration in Nigeria, is evil, anti-labour and discourages decent work and productivity in the labour force.
According to him, the fact that casualisation is still common in labour circles in Nigeria underscores the need for employers of labour to evolve measures to nip it in the bud.
