Hope for resolution came on the heels of last Wednesday’s National Industrial Court’s advice that the parties in dispute should embrace an amicable out-of-court settlement.
Deputy President of the splinter group Comrade Issa Aremu said at a press conference in Lagos that genuine reconciliation and not litigation would go a long way in ensuring lasting peace for the congress.
Aremu said it is a shame that the NLC is embroiled in leadership tussle when it ought to rise in unison and frontally confront labour enemies who are at the corridors of power in the country.
He said a united and vibrant NLC is needed in Nigeria currently to battle the 22 state governors owing workers months-long salaries as well as set  a genuine path for the resolution of the leadership crisis in the National Assembly.
He commended the President of National Industrial Court Justice Babatunde Adejumo for his plea for reconciliation in place of litigation.
