NMA tasked on health challenges of displaced persons

The Nigeria Medical Association of Nigeria (NMA) and other health professionals in the country have been charged to collaborate with government in alleviating the sufferings of internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the country.
Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly Dr. Ali Ahmad made the appeal in Ilorin while receiving the executives of Nigeria Medical Association of Nigeria, Kwara State  chapter. Ahmad described the current insurgency in the northeast as unfortunate adding that  the nation would soon triumph over the insecurity in view of the political will demonstrated by the Buhari led administration.
The Speaker called on the NMA and other corporate organisations to join hands with the government in stabilising internally displaced persons saying it will enable them live a normal life.
He called for the continued support of the NMA to ensure the passage of enduring and acceptable laws that would guarantee quality and affordable healthcare delivery system for the people.
Earlier, Chairman NMA Kwara state chapter, Dr. Abubakar Ayinla said they visited him to solicit the house’s support in NMA’s NEC meeting holding later in the month.
