The Controller of Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Regulatory Authority (NMDRA) in Nasarawa State, Ahmed Gwaram, has berated marketers for scarcity and persistent price hike of fuel in the state.
In an interview with journalists in Lafia Thursday, he warned owners of filling stations to stop selling the product above the government’s approved price of N165 per litre.

He said the agency had become aware that some filling stations were hoarding the product to cause artificial scarcity and using one dispenser to sell as high as N270 to N280 per litre.
Earlier, the Chairman of Petroleum Dealers Association in Nasarawa State, Mr Usman Sandaji, explained that marketers were getting the fuel above N165 per litre and could not sell to consumers at N165.
