This year’s edition of the Nigerian Music Video Awards, (NMVA) has been postponed. A new date for the event which was scheduled for last Thursday December 17th, 2015 at the Eko Hotel & Suites is yet to be announced.
According to the founder of the awards, Mr. Cally Ikpe, the postponement was inevitable. “Due to Circumstances beyond our control, it has become inevitable to postpone by a few weeks the 9th edition of the annual Nigerian Music Video Awards earlier fixed for December 17th, 2015. A new date will be communicated shortly. We deeply regret all inconveniencies,” he said in a press release.
The NMVA, which projects the cultural ideals of Nigeria via music as represented with music videos, is Nigeria’s first ever music video awards and started in 2007.
