Dr. Agbo Major, a factional National Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has said his life is under threat.
Major, a former National Publicity Secretary of the NNPP became the national chairman of the Dr. Boniface Aniebonam led faction after its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Lagos.
The faction at the meeting announced the suspension of the presidential candidate of the party in the February 25 election, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
Addressing a press conference yesterday in Abuja, Major, who said the faction has moved its headquarters to Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, claimed that some unidentified persons were after his life.
He said, “The most critical reason for this briefing today (yesterday) is to bring you to speed with an attempt made to assassinate me here in this office on Monday, 16th August 2023.
“I walked in here at about 2.45pm and shortly after that, two men walked in, ignoring the protocol advice from the desk boys in the front office. They walked in with weapons demanding to meet me. Unknown to them, they were talking to me.”
