Speaking to Feverpitch yesterday, the coach said no team in the NPL is a push over and the Owerri team is coming to Gombe with a lot of experience and determination.

Ogbe however said the return to winning ways which his team has witnessed in recent matches would not be halted by the visitors.

He maintained that since Gombe United lost a game at home, it has not been easy to retain the leadership of the NPL just as he said his aim is to get another away win to reclaim the lost points.

“We are going to approach tomorrow’s (today) match like any other. For us there is no big or small club. Every club that we meet shall be given equal treatment.

“Consequently, we are going to give our all against Heartland. They are coming with a lot of experience and the desire to win but we are ready for them. We are looking for the much needed turning point and cannot afford to take any team for granted”.

Ogbe also rated as very high the standard of the NPL as he said every club is eying the league diadem.

The coach therefore said it is too early for any club to start talking of winning the league which has so far seen 11 matches.

“Personally, I don’t believe in counting my chickens before they are hatched. It is too early to start talking of winning the league. We are still in the first stanza and only 11 matches have been played. We have to wait till the end of the season”, he cautioned.
