No clue on killers, kidnapped of traditional ruler’s wife in Ondo – Police

The police in Ondo State is yet to make any arrest days after three persons were murdered in Oba Ile, Akure North Local Government area of the state. The wife of a traditional ruler, the Alauga of Auga, Princess Olukemi Agunloye, who was kidnapped with her, was also yet to be found.

Daily Trust learnt yesterday that residents of Oba-Ile have continued to live in fear as a result of activities of the killers, suspected to be cultists.

Ondo State police spokesman, Femi Joseph, told Daily Trust yesterday that the command is keeping information on the Oba- Ile killing to their chest, but confirmed that police in the state have not arrested anybody.

He also said that the command is seriously investigating both cases, promising that the command will rescue her alive, arrest the culprits and bring them to book.

The killings took place last week Friday and Saturday at different locations in Oba-Ile, an outskirt of Akure, the state capital.

A source said the killers abandoned their weapons at the scene without removing anything.
