‘No leadership change in ALGON’

The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) has said there is no change of leadership in the association.

It stated that Kolade David Alabi remained the National President of the body representing the local government councils and area councils in the country.

The clarification followed last week’s press statement attributed to an Interim Management Committee (IMC) pledging support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Chairman, Board of Trustees of the association, Odunayo Ategbero, in a letter made available to Daily Trust, clarified that the interim management committee was unknown to the association.
