The federal government has said no National Identity Number of Nigerians is missing from the National Identity Management Commission’s database.
NIMC’s spokesman, Kayode Adegoke, said in a statement on Thursday that NIN records of all Nigerians remained intact and impenetrable.

He was reacting to a report that NIMC lost 7.9m NIN records of Nigerians.
“It is also clearly known that the NIN is an 11-digit unique number’’, Adegoke said.
