Bomoi, who took office 5 years ago, received a ringing testimonial from by the Auditor-General of the Federation, S.T. Ukura because of his record-keeping ability at the treasury with yearly audited reports on the FCT’s Financial Statement, and
In this era of democratic governance where corruption and monumental looting of the public till seems to pervade most segments of financial institutions nationwide, Mr Ukura gave Bomoi a clean bill. This has been a consistent trend.
 With 32 years working experience in the Federal Civil Service, Bomoi is a well-grounded technocrat in financial matters who has worked with six different ministers in the Federal Capital Technology Administration. With several attestations in Public Financial Management, Advanced Auditing and Public Administration, he is also a fellow, Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, Chartered Institute of treasury management in Nigeria and a powerful member of Institute of Management specialist, UK, member, Nigeria Institute of management and member, Nigeria Institute of management consultants.
With about a dozen awards under his belt, with one, lately given by African Expression News Media on Good Leadership and another Distinguished Meritorious Services award (Gold) by African Independence Magazine, Bomoi is celebrated by both friends and foes for his feat in financial matters.   That is why I am amused that some professional coupon clippers and kneejerk hired hack writers have embarked on campaigns to bring Bomoi down for no apparent reason other than he is an accomplished civil servant.  These stem from his dogged insistence that in the settling of an outstanding bill of about 2 billion naira owed the local contractors by the FCDA, due process must be followed and every genuine claim settled. What’s wrong in being transparent? Many people, the crooked ones, don’t see it that way.
