In the early hours of Monday July 29, words went round that Bukky Ajayi was dead. Everyone was thrown into perpetual mourning, until presently, when the woman cried out that she is hale and hearty.
In a chat with nigeriafilm.com, she explained that over 12 persons have called her asking if she was alive but she was shocked to know that some people are actually insinuating death for her at this early stage of her life.
The veteran actress said she didn’t take the matter seriously until she received calls from her daughter and husband.
‘I’m hale and hearty, and nothing is wrong with me,’ Mama, as the actress is fondly called, said though she was critically ill for a while but she has since recovered from her age-related illness.
The ex-‘Village Headmaster’ star has retired from acting but she still occasionally features in musical videos on invitation.
