Organised in partnership with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) within the framework of the United Nations Global Initiative to Fight Human Trafficking (UN.GIFT), the festival is a collaborative effort to see an end to child trafficking through film.

According to EXIT, founder and filmmaker, Joana Adesuwa Reiterer, “all the activities have been developed in close cooperation with stakeholders in Nigeria such as the National Agency for Prohibition of Traffic in Persons(NAPTIP) and Girls Power Initiative, Nigeria (GPI).

“We are excited to announce the launch of Na Wa Festival in Nigeria, featuring exciting old and new feature films, documentaries and literatures that reflects the true stories of Nigerians who have been trafficked to Europe for sex and labour exploitations. Come and hear the remarkable stories of boys and girls, who beat the odds, as well as tragic stories that have made us to collectively say, “Na wa, Enough is enough.”
