Genevieve Nnaji: The 37-year-old Imo State-born actress and singer is a mother of one. She started acting as an eight-year-old doing advertisements and starring in the popular soap opera, ‘Ripples.’ She has received international recognition and awards for roles she has played in different movies. In 2004, she became the face of Lux Nigeria and in 2008 launched her clothing line, St. Genevieve, with its proceeds going to charity. Then in May 2010, she became the official face of MUD Cosmetics. She was also honoured as a member of the Order of The Federal Republic by the federal government for her contribution to Nollywood. Nnaji always leaves an impression with her outfits. She is elegant in every sense of the word and carries herself with grace and that is what makes her our top Nollywood diva.
Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde: The Ondo State mother of four is popularly known as ‘Omo Sexy.’ The 38-year-old actress, singer, philanthropist, reality TV star and former model, made her debut into Nollywood with a role in the movie, ‘Venom of Justice’ in 1995. She has been featured in over 300 movies since then. She won the award of Best Actress in an English speaking movie and Best Actress Overall at the 1997 The Movie Awards (THEMA). She became a United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) ambassador in 2005 going to missions in Sierra Leone and Liberia. Her style is very unique with most of her choices showing off her nice curves. Her stylist has definitely been doing a swell job.
Rita Dominic: Many fans were utterly surprised when Rita Dominic celebrated 40 because she looks at least 10 years younger and carries herself with a lot of poise balanced with her ever ready charming smile. The actress who made her entry into Nollywood in 1998 starring in ‘A Time to Kill’ and has starred in no less than 100 Nollywood productions. The Imo beauty replaced the Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson as the face of Zaron Cosmetics in 2014 and is also the face of Flat Tummy Tea Nigeria. Dominic can look good in anything she chooses to wear. Her choice of clothing has always left us all in awe as she has proved that she can never go wrong in whatever she goes for.
Funke Akindele: One of the most popular names in Nollywood famous for her comedy series, ‘Jenifa’s Diary.’ The 39-year-old came into limelight after featuring in the sitcom ‘I need to know’ which ran from 1998 to 2002. She has won the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a leading role in 2009 and most recently won the award of the Best Actress in Comedy Role this year. The Law graduate runs a non-governmental foundation known as the Jenifa Foundation, where talents are nurtured and vocational skills acquired.
Kate Henshaw: The 45-year-old Cross River State actress made her acting debut when she starred in the movie ‘When the sun sets’ in 1993. Since then she has taken Nollywood by storm and won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress at the 2008 for the leading role for the film ‘Stronger than Pay.’ She is the face of Onga and a judge on ‘Nigeria’s Got Talent.’ Henshaw is very passionate about fitness which is why she is still in great shape at her age. She makes number five on our list because of what she has accomplished and not to mention a great number of amazing fashion choices she displays on red carpet events.
