Norrenberger Research will on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, unveil the Nigerian Corporate Sustainability Report (NCSR), a first-of-its-kind benchmarking report designed to assess and track sustainability performance across publicly listed companies in Nigeria.
The report, which will be launched at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, introduces a structured, data-driven framework for evaluating how Nigerian companies perform across key environmental, social and governance (ESG) indicators.
Themed “Strengthening Sustainable Practices in Corporate Nigeria,” the event is expected to convene senior executives, regulators, investors and policy leaders at a time when sustainability considerations are playing a more prominent role in capital allocation and corporate decision-making.
According to Norrenberger Research, the NCSR goes beyond voluntary disclosures to provide a more measurable basis for assessing corporate sustainability performance, highlighting both areas of progress and critical need for improvements across sectors.
Speaking ahead of the launch, the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Tony Edeh, said the initiative is intended to shift the conversation around sustainability in Nigeria.
“For too long, sustainability has been discussed without a consistent basis for measurement. What this report does is introduce a level of transparency and accountability that allows performance to be assessed more objectively,” he said. He added that the report is expected to contribute to ongoing discussions around corporate governance, responsible business practices, and long-term value creation in Nigeria’s private sector.
The launch will feature the public presentation of the report, keynote addresses and a panel session focused on integrating sustainability into corporate strategy.
The Nigerian Corporate Sustainability Report is expected to be published annually.
