The North Central Tinubu Action Group has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing distinguished individuals from the North Central region to strategic national positions, describing the gesture as a reflection of inclusivity and balanced leadership.
In a statement signed by its Coordinator, Joseph Ayalo Polycarp, the group expressed appreciation for the appointments of Senator George Akume as Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Nentawe Yilwatda as the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, and Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan as Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The group noted that these appointments underscore the President’s recognition of the North Central zone’s contribution to national development.
Polycarp assured the President of the region’s continued support for his administration, noting that the people of the North Central region would remain steadfast partners in advancing national progress and stability.
He also congratulated Prof. Amupitan on his appointment and urged him to uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in strengthening Nigeria’s electoral process.
“We are confident that Prof. Amupitan’s expertise in law and governance will enhance the credibility and transparency of future elections,” the statement said.
