Mr Odilim Enwegbara, an agriculture expert, said if the north could pay attention to commercial farming to meet international standards, it could produce enough food to feed the world’s growing population.
He said the future of the world remains with agriculture because countries will get to the stage where they will all be industrialized and there won’t be competition for technology anymore.
He said: “The world population is projected to be 10 billion by 2100 and agriculture will be the main focus, because the need to feed the world population will be on. I travelled to Jos and I saw carrot farms, and I thought to myself, all we need to do is create factories and produce carrot juice in mass, export them to China and America, and it would be bought and consumed immediately.”
