Members of the Northern Surveyors Forum have re-elected their executives for a second term in office in Kaduna. The executives were re-elected at the annual general meeting of the forum in Kaduna.
Those re-elected were the Forum Chairman, Surveyor Winston Ayeni; Vice Chairman, Surveyor Martin. A. Gang; Secretary General, Surveyor Chief Moleeks Yau Adam; and Assistant Secretary General, Ibrahim Saleh.
Others are Surveyor Kulchomi Farooq Ahmed as Treasurer; Surveyor Ammani Farook as Internal Auditor; Surveyor Terfa Tsakar as Public Relations Officer; and Surveyor Dahiru Sani returned as Financial Secretary.
The executives were charged with moving the forum forward.
In his remarks, chairman of the forum Winston Ayeni, thanked the members for the opportunity and confidence reposed in them to pilot affairs of the forum.
He said the theme for the lecture, ‘Integrated Infrastructural Development, was apt and described infrastructure as any facility that enables a community to thrive, including roads, water, health, education and all types of product pipelines
“The development of these facilities must be integrated. Often one travels on a road within a state and on getting to the border with a neighbouring state, the condition of the road changes,” he said.
Governor Nasir el-Rufai, represented by the Deputy Governor, Hadiza Balarabe, called on all state governments to promote infrastructural development.
He said though the survey industry in Nigeria is facing a lot of challenges, as professionals they should strive to overcome those challenges.
